Q 1. Why NIN is also called as 'Bapu Bhavan'?
Ans. Gandhiji had made this institution his home and used to stay here whenever he was in Pune from the year 1934. Totally he stayed here for 156 days. He conducted many National & International activities from this place.

Q 2. Do you have any other branches (of NIN) in India.?
Ans. No. However, there are 3 central bodies under Ministry of AYUSH
1. National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune
2. CCRYN , New Delhi
3. MDNIY, New Delhi

Q 3. Are there any courses in Naturopathy being offered at NIN?
Ans: A free one year full time "Treatment Assistant Training Course(TATC)" is being conducted.
A stipend of Rs.5000/- pm per candidate is paid for 80 candidates

Q 4 . How many BNYS degree colleges are there in India?
What is present status of BNYS vs other degrees?

Ans: BNYS stands for Bachelor in Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences. It is a minimum 5 ½ years ( 4� +1 year Internship) full time residential professional medical degree offered by various Health Science Universities. There are 18 degree colleges running BNYS degree courses. At present BNYS is the highest qualification in the field of Naturopathy & Yoga and considered at par with any other medical degrees, viz. MBBS, BAMS , BHMS, BUMS & BSMS.

Q 5. What are the various publications/VCD's etc?
Ans. 1. NIN is regularly publishing 'Nisargopachar Varta' bilingual monthly magazine since the year 1993 without any break in publication. At present, there are about 6000 subscribers throughout India & abroad. Readership is about 50,000.

3. VCD -One VCD on National Institute of Naturopathy and its multifaceted activities is for sale @ Rs. 60/- per CD.

Q 6. Are there any staying facilities for patients at NIN?

Ans. No. However, the hotels in close proximity give 10% discount to out-station candidates on display of NIN's Patient Registration Card.

Q7. Is NIN a central government organization? If Yes, what is its status?
Ans: Yes. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. With 100% financial aid from the Central Government. This organization is governed by a Governing Body (G.B.), headed by Minister of AYUSH as its President.

Q 8. Is their a prospectus available for TATC?
Ans. Yes. However, Std X passed is eligibility (preference is given 12th passed from any stream). Age 18-30 yrs
(relaxation for PH/SC/ST/OBC as per reservation rules of Govt. of India), both males and females. It is a free full time course with
each selected candidate given Rs. 5000/- stipend pm for 1
year leading to a certificate by NIN.

Q 9 Is library facility available for general public?
Ans. Yes, the membership fees are as follows:
1. Annual     : Rs.300/-
2. Half Yrly   : Rs. 200/-
3. Quarterly : Rs. 100/-
